These are amazing wines, one white, one red, both from California. The first one is a 2013 Chardonnay, rich and layered, with silky notes of peach, nectarine, ripe pear and vanilla. It hails from the Hahn vineyards (Santa Lucia Highlands) and is estate grown & produced. The second wine is a 2012 Pinot Noir, "The Calling", from the Russian River Valley's Dutton Ranch. It ranks a 92 with its red and black cherry fruit aromatics and nuances of strawberry, raspberry, nutmeg and toffee.
