Description
"Rango" was lovingly donated to us by the Olson family. Here's a description:
Here are a few pictures of Rango. He is a Leopard Gecko (found in the desert). We bought him about four and a half years ago as a juvenile from Petco. Geckos diet consists of meal worms and live crickets. Adult Leopard Geckos (which Rango is now) are between nine and ten inches long and can live for twelve to fifteen years. Our son Henry was very into lizards so we gave him Rango for his ninth birthday. Henry was ecstatic and thoroughly enjoyed Rango for a couple of years! However, over time Henry's interests have changed and we have been talking about finding a new home for Rango. Henry would love for Rango to go to a child that is very into lizards and is excited about one for a pet, just like he was at one time.
Everything we have for Rango will go with him to his next home. This includes his tank, easy to clean carpet for his tank, big 'rock', water dish, heating pad that goes under the tank, red light, cricket keeper, and calcium powder to dust on crickets.
He is gentle and likes to be held, or at least he doesn't seem to mind being held so we think he likes it. ;) He cannot climb up the tank, Leopard Geckos do not have sticky feet. He seems to shed about every six weeks or so, which is kind of interesting to watch. It is also fun to watch him 'hunt' and eat his crickets.
