The child's age is 7 years or older, or an adult.  


The location would be decided between you and Professor Shu.  


The lessons would be redeemed between the months of May - August of 2015.

Whether you or your child is a first-time beginner, a seasoned MMTA competitor, high-schooler getting ready to enter the Conservatory, the collegiate ready to become a profession musician, or the professional pianist ready to acquire new skills or to further your playing, Professor Shu has the experience required to guide you on your journey. Each student's lesson plans and teaching methodology is completely customized to the student's goals, ability, and aspirations. 

Possible lesson tracks include:
1) Traditional beginner methods based on sight-reading and music theory;
2) Non-traditional beginner methods based on playing by ear and chord playing;
3) Intermediate methods in chord chart playing, analysis, and beginning arrangement;
4) Intermediate lessons in Christian Contemporary and Worship studies;
5) College entrance preparation for conservatory admissions in classical, popular music, and jazz entrance requirements;
6) Advance topics such as college-level theory, jazz theory and arranging, jazz piano, and world music.

Genre and music selection will be entirely based on student interest focused on the chances of success and sustainability for the student. Genres include: classical (from Baroque to Romantic common MMTA repertoire), popular music, Contemporary Christian and Worship, blues, jazz, rock, latin, and world music.
