You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to make all kinds of delicious pickles, and it’s a surefire way to impress your guests (or hosts…homemade pickles make great hostess gifts!). In this four-hour workshop, you will learn recipes and techniques that can be used to pickle the fruits of all seasons safely and deliciously. Together we will make and customize a basic brine, prepare three seasonal pickle recipes, and practice safe canning. You will leave with your own fresh-made pickles, a set of recipes to create at home, and skills to last a lifetime. The afternoon will include light fare and wine, and the excellent company of your BHDS compatriots.
