Besides being an After School Program Instructor at UCAL,
Adam Lovitz is a painter and mixed media artist who works and resides in South Philly. In 2009, he attended Vermont Studio Center, followed by studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) and graduating with his MFA in 2012. While a student, Lovitz received the "MFA Faculty Exhibition Award," offering him the opportunity to exhibit current work one year out of graduation, leading to a two-person show, Who Say It Be, at PAFA in 2013. Also in 2013, he was a member of Philadelphia artist-collective, Little Berlin, where he organized a month-long collaborative exhibition, encouraging visitors to paint with mud and other earthly materials. He has exhibited at the Painting Center in New York, the Creative Art Alliance in Baltimore, and most recently put up a two-person exhibition at Space 1026 in Philadelphia.
