Description
Offered is a morning or full day of birding for 1-4 persons. The date is to be arranged between the winning bidder and the guide (Bruce Glick). Fall and winter are options but perhaps the best birding would be next spring.
This can take place somewhere in Goshen, Ind. or could be an excursion to Potato Creek State Park, Pigeon River Wildlife Area or Magee Marsh, Ohio. The emphasis could be on learning to identify birds by sight, and/or by sound, as well as options for photographing birds. Another option would be to try to find as many different kinds of birds as possible in a morning, or a full day. You choose, and MCC partners somewhere in the world will be thankful.
Bruce Glick enjoys helping people learn about birds. He has written a column called "Gone Birding" since 1988 (in Ohio), and has served on the Ohio Bird Records Committee. With some friends he started a quarterly birding journal called The Bobolink, 20 years ago, and also started a Christmas Bird Count in Millersburg, Ohio. His favorite parts of birding are observing migrant raptors (hawks) and birding by ear. Since he worked overseas for many years, he had the chance to study birds in different locations, with a life list of around 2,500 species, around 650 in North America.
