"WHAT WAS THE SALEM GULU BEFORE YOU OPENED IT?
The Gulu Gulu Cafe is Salem was recently a section of the Phoenix School which has moved to a new location in Salem. Back in the mid-1950's it was a Sears. We would like to believe it was also a pirate lair."
This is true! Before The Phoenix School moved in 2006 to our current address on Margin Street, the space we occupied included where Gulu-Gulu is located.
