Medium & Size: Mosaic of dyed crushed sea shells on wood. 21 7/8" L x 8 5/8" H x 3/4" D. For indoor display only.
Artist Statement: I wanted to make a fish from items from the ocean.
Artist Biography: Patricia DiCarlo Baker graduated from Syracuse University with studies in illustration and design. She has worked in many different artistic venues, including ad agencies, corporations, magazines, and publishing, and has illustrated books for adult new readers. Patti has won awards for both design and painting. Her favorite mediums are watercolor and pencil.
Patti has worked as a designer/creative director for a direct marketing company in Gloucester, MA, for over 10 years. She works with numerous clients in many different aspects of branding, marketing, and cost comparisons, and of course there is coming up with a winning design.
Patti has also learned the art of Nantucket basket weaving and has been diligently working on the techniques and different shapes of baskets, as well as teaching a class on basket weaving. She has been showing and selling baskets during the Marblehead Festival of Arts for many years, as well as helping out where needed at the Artisans’ Marketplace. Patti has also won Best of Show for her baskets.
Hosting Business: "Bling" is on display at Jambu, 38 Altantic Ave., Marblehead, MA.
Special Instructions
Winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
