Located on the border between Oakland and Berkeley in Rockridge, Southie is a small, lively restaurant serving terrific sandwiches by day and a delicious dinner by night, thanks to Executive Chef Yang Peng. Happy members of the Wood Tavern family, Southie provides gracious hospitality in a more casual environment. You can head to Southie for wine or a snack while you wait for your Tavern dinner reservation, or for any meal that suits you. Open Monday through Saturday, 9-9. (Yes, you can eat 3 square meals here!) Sundays, brunch from 9-3. Southie doesn't take reservations, but they are always happy to pour your beer and wine from the Southie tap while you wait.
