Description

For the true oenophile . . . a wine decanter/chiller and Royal Selangar Bacchus pewter aerator, filter and stopper from the Peller Winery, Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Bacchus was the Roman god of wine and revelry. His face is sculpted on the funnel, crowned with clusters of grapes and his beard tapers down the tip. When wine is poured into the funnel, the wine appears to be blown out by Bacchus to the wall of the decanter. In goes ordinary wine, out comes nectar of the gods' is the mystique behind this funnel where in Ancient Roman times, this god of wine is revered
