Description
The Civic Arena became home to the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team in 1967. Due to the outward appearance of the arena, it was nicknamed "The Igloo", which appropriately inspired the team's name.
The Arena played host to everything from boxing to basketball and concerts by Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Frank Sinatra. In 2010 the last concert was James Taylor and Carole King.
Now you can own a piece of the stainless steel roof from this iconic building in the form of a Wendell August Handmade Civic Arena Mug with the Pittsburgh Penguins emblem forged into the surface.
