When the Village Rep outgrew the converted storefront space in suburban Mt Pleasant, the company moved into a century old meat packing warehouse on a  street in the former industrial center of peninsula Charleston. After more than 18 months of fundraising, planning and development, the unique property has been transformed into the 200-seat Wolfe Street Playhouse, ready to serve as a cultural anchor for the rapidly redeveloping Upper King “arts corridor.”
