The 18-hole Las Colinas golf course is truly a sight to behold. During our recent renovations, we rebuilt tee boxes – including No. 5, our top handicap hole. Standing atop the No. 1 tee box, it seems as if the entire world is spread out before you, as a carpet of treetops and rooflines roll all the way down to the Dallas skyline. This Las Colinas golf course was classically designed in 1963 by Joe Finger and provides plenty of challenges for all golfers, whether pro or novice. Originally called El Ranchito de Las Colinas (The Little Ranch of the Hills) the area of Las Colinas, before developed, was accentuated with acres of lush rolling hills, sparkling bodies of water and was full of thousands of head of cattle. It was in 1963 that Las Colinas Country Club was established with the golf course designed on the land handpicked by designer Joe Finger. The carpet-like bent grass greens sit among the abounding hills, mature growth of foliage and now, towering skyscrapers.
