1905 Dime

Item Number: 240
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
When U.S. Mint engraver Charles Barber designed the new dime to be struck in 1892, he copied George Morgan's Miss Liberty off the Morgan Dollar-he just gave her a haircut and faced her the other way! His new dime was minted all the way up through 1916, and the depressions of the 1890s and 1930s meant his dimes were used until virtually all of them wore out.
