Description

From the Lyda Hill Collection, these three (3) stunning photographic portraits of boldly colorful (White, Green and Orange) minerals, all matted and framed in crisp white, make for a sophisticated and vibrant triptych in any room. Natural curiosities, beautifully presented! Each framed portrait is 18 3/4" wide and 21 3/4" Tall.

(Green mineral)
Emerald and Calcite
Collection of Lyda Hill, Dallas, Texas Fun fact: Beloved for their intense blue-green color, emeralds have been mined in Egypt since at least 1500 BC.

(Orange mineral)
Crocoite
Collection of Lyda Hill, Dallas, Texas Fun fact: Composed of lead(II) chromate, this stunning mineral is toxic, containing both lead and chromium. It is identical in composition to "chrome yellow," an artificial product once used as a paint pigment for school buses. Due to its toxicity, chrome yellow is no longer used.

(White mineral)
Scolecite and Stilbite
Collection of Lyda Hill, Dallas, Texas Fun fact: Scolecite's name is derived from the Greek "skolex" (worm) due to its tendancy to curl when heated.
