Description
Notes from Ruchika the artist:
"Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates life and Spring. All forms of life are sacred in Hinduism and Holi is yet another festival that honors the beauty of life!
This painting came about one Spring when I was too sad because I couldn't celebrate Holi in India. I lived in Los Angeles and had too many commitments to visit India at the time.
While having these emotions I read a news article about the plight of elephants in India. A country that worships the elephant God as the supreme one was now at their lowest nadir when it came to caring for the oh! so alive and kicking elephants.
With all these emotions running loose, the "Holi embrace" was created over the next several days!"
