Vance Worley was selected by the Phillies in the 3rd round of the 2008 draft. In 2010, Worley was ranked as the No. 18 Prospect in the Phillies system by Baseball America. Worley earned the nickname "Vanimal" during his college days when he was know as a fiend in the weight room. He would arrive at 5 a.m., he never missed a day and he worked out hard. One of the trainers started calling him the "Vanimal" and it stuck.  Worley now pitches for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
