Katherine Honey states that while it is wonderful to create a work of art that is admired, often her reason for painting is to be engaged in a process that is so encompassing that it is freeing. Like a relaxing vacation, painting renews her. Whatever priorities, emotions, and concerns existed before she raises her brush disappear. Hours evaporate and she is refreshed and ready to focus on what needs to be done.

“Let Me Get Some Sun” Pansies are a favorite subject of mine.  I painted this pot of pansies as it sat on a shaded porch with a few pansies catching the warmth of the sun’s rays
