Annette Needle has been working as a professional sculptor, art teacher and therapist for many years. She recently directed the skills of the three-dimensional world into the challenges of painting, large and small, oil on canvas. The inspirations and techniques of carving stone and wood and also modeling in terra cotta are the backbone of her creative work and goals of the two dimensional world.  She has emerged as an artist fully dedicated to painting.

This oil on canvas entitled "Midnight Blue" was inspired by not only my love for animals, but also their mystery within and their adaptation to their surroundings and humankind.  This cat emerges from a dark background and invites you into his world, space and time. One just might feel the peace & serenity of quiet love.
