Marian Wrightington paints with her heart, the things that she loves. Coming from a long line of New Englanders, she sometimes feels she is a part of that earlier era. She prefers older styles that suit her historic home and preserve her heritage. She took classes locally for years, and has exhibited in the Attleboro Arts Museum's Members’ and Flower Show exhibitions.
“My Rubrums” is an oil on canvas board painting framed in a simple green painted frame. These lilies are rich in deep cranberry color against a pastel blue background. I love all flowers for their individuality and these are one of my favorites. They grow in my garden and always amaze me, when they return every year.
