The Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame celebrates sports and serves as a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. The 2015 speaker was the legendary quarterback Archie Manning, father of Peyton and Eli Manning. Three former directors of University of Tennessee athletics, the late Bob Woodruff, Joan Cronan and Gloria Ray, were among the inductees. Each year, 10 local individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame for achievements in athletics, media, coaching, sports administration and officiating, other honorees include Knoxville’s Most Outstanding Male and Female High School Athletes of the Year, Pat Summitt Ignite Greatness Award, Chad Pennington Professional Athlete of the Year and “Thanks for the Memories.”
