Gina Klauba received her BA in studio art from NEIU in 1991, with a focus in metalworking. She received an Associates in Animal Science in 2014 and was certified as a technician the same year. A member and part time studio assistant at Chicago Glass Collective (CGC), Gina is always exploring new techniques.
While she works full time as a veterinary technician, Gina loves glasswork as an outlet for her creative side. She sells her work on Etsy.
After her husband gave her a fusing class at CGC as a present, she fell in love with glass. "I was amazed at how easily I was able to create absolutely amazing things using glass and scraps of glass. The excitement and inspiration from glass work is both addictive and therapeutic!
"I create decorative glass for the home and body from scraps and miscellany. There is no plan—it’s all fluid and created as I go. No two pieces are ever alike. No piece is ever perfect. I find the imperfections add to the uniqueness of each piece. Each item is truly hand made."
