The World Affairs Council of Houston promotes better understanding of the world - the people, politics, economies, and cultures - enabling our citizenry to participate more effectively in the global community. Today, the Council is widely respected as a place where citizens, world leaders, policy makers, and scholars come to meet, where ideas are exchanged, and actions inspired. Over 7,000 members are currently enrolled, making them one of the largest and most successful public forums in the nation. It is a diverse network of students,citizens, and community leaders, from all walks of life, all sharing an interest in international affairs and a commitment to education. 

Council Cabinet membership (for two people) includes:
