Description

You can join Mrs. Frommert and Mrs. Sload as Dena Honeycutt, Houston Zoo Primate Supervisor, takes you on a one-hour behind the scenes tour of the wonderful primates at the Houston Zoo. This private tour will focus on orangutans and gorillas.  As a special addition, you will meet Cheyenne, a 43-year-old orangutan, and she will paint a picture for one participant to keep!  Also included are tickets, stickers, and zoo animal bracelets.

About Dena Honeycutt:
Dena has been with the Houston Zoo for over 25 years and in my current role for 15 years. She attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology.  In high school, Dena volunteers at the Houston Zoo in the Children's Zoo section.  In college, she worked with endangered species at the Conservation and Research Center in Front Royal, VA and volunteered as a Park Ranger for Padre Island National Seashore.

About The Wortham World of Primates:
Wortham World of Primates is your chance to see some of the world's most fascinating and intelligent creatures up close and personal.  Nestled in a natural setting, walk down the winding boardwalk to see a wide variety of rare and endangered primates, including lemurs, mandrills, siamangs, howler monkeys, tamarins, and more.  Observe the animals along the way as they interact with eachother, play with toys and treats provided by zoo keepers, and exhibit behabrios that they do in the wild.
