Horticulture Department interns at Garden in the Woods gain hands-on experience identifying and cultivating New England native plants. Interns assist in all aspects of botanic garden management, including the use of proper horticultural practices (such as planting, pruning, weed management, soil fertility, and irrigation), renovation and construction of new gardens, inventory and plant record keeping, and public education. This is their opportunity to gain the same invaluable experience that has led to successful careers for many alums.
