Tour the gardens at this Integrative Care Center for women and men living with cancer. The grounds are tended by a group of volunteer gardeners. Janet Ganson, Garden in the Woods guide, who was the Healing Garden’s former administrative staff member and is a volunteer “healing gardener”, will be your guide for a tour of the garden which includes a man made stream, koi pond, fountains, flower and shrub borders, and raised planting beds. Designed to be low maintenance with no chemical additives, the plantings are primarily native plants.

While not certified in Horticultural Therapy, Janet is familiar with the design elements on the property used by the certified HT professional landscape designers who did the major design work on the property. The Healing Garden has a long season of interest, but June is probably best time, and Janet has a flexible schedule to accommodate the winning bidder’s availability for their tour.
