Description

As if this man hasn't done enough to try to save humanity from itself, here he is again...

This time, you have a chance to meet Dr. James Hansen in person, over a quiet lunch.  You may choose the topic of conversation.

Considered the Father of Global Warming, Dr. Hansen was the first scientist to accurately predict the effects of greenhouse gasses on our climate.   Dr. Hansen headed NASA's GISS from 1981 to 2013.  In 1986, Dr. Hansen gave his first testimony on his findings to Congress (if only they'd listened).  As of 2014, Hansen directs the Program on Climate Science, Awareness and Solutions at Columbia University's Earth Institute. The program is working to continue to "connect the dots" from advancing basic climate science to promoting public awareness to advocating policy actions.

Special Instructions

This is a 30 minute conversation with Dr. Hansen over coffee or lunch at the Symposium restaurant in Morningside Heights during spring of 2016.
