The Buttermilk Baking Company is a locally owned and operated, farm to table, from scratch, small batch, made by hand bakery located in the heart of downtown Newburyport, MA.

Once you walk through our door, you will be overwhelmed with the sweet aromas of fresh baked pie, butter, sugar and yes, even bacon. The bakery is quaint and over flowing with treats from another era. The pies bubble over with the season’s fresh fruit, baked into an all butter crust, rolled and formed by hand. The scones are tender, the biscuits moist, baked fresh daily and our muffins are arguably the best (according to their loyal customers).
