River Birch was surrendered to MRFRS with her siblings, Cherry Birch and Silver Birch. They came from a hoarding situation. Sometimes, when there are too many cats living in one enviroment (such as a hoarding situation) it can be almost impossible to ensure proper care and socialization for every cat. This was certainly the case for River and her pals. She does well with other cats but her favorite place to be is in the sunniest windowsill she can find. River has battled with chronic upper respiratory infections since arriving at the Adoption Center. This is a common issue with cats that come from hoarding cases as their medical needs are not always addressed at a young age. As she has become more comfortable each day, her inner bravery has begun to shine. River allows her caretakers to gently pet her now, an amazing milestone for all! She will add joy to a quiet home where her beauty and warm presence can truly be appreciated.
