Alida Winternheimer, Helping Paws foster trainer and author, will make you a character in her upcoming book!

The winner of this item will get to become a character in one of Alida’s next two books, either Dark Corners in Skoghall, coming out soon, or Don’t Get Stuck in Skoghall, coming out in 2016. The books also contain a Helping Paws service dog matched with a Veteran.

Alida will interview the winner and use their name for one of her characters. She will also incorporate some of your traits into the character. Your name will appear in the acknowledgments section of the book for your support of Helping Paws, and you’ll receive a signed copy of the book in which you appear.

Alida will also appear at an event of your choosing that you host: your book club meeting, a brunch, a wine and cheese, a community center—you arrange the event and she’ll provide 1) a reading from the book in which you appear, 2) an author talk about writing, research, and creativity, and 3) a book signing for you and your guests.
