An in depth hands-on 3D Design and 3D Printing Workshop.
Learn all about 3D printing with this specialized hands-on 3 hour
workshop. After taking this workshop, you will have in your hands your
own 3D printed item, which you designed yourself. This is a very special
opportunity to get some hands-on knowledge/experience with the 3D
design process and hand’s on time with 3D printers. Learn all about 3D
Printers and the process of 3D CAD Design. Makes a WONDERFUL gift
(certificates will be available to give as presents) for yourself, children, or
anyone.
At the end of this introductory workshop, you will have the following
knowledge & abilities
- learn about what 3D printers are, and how they work
- know the 3D design flow, from initial idea to having an actual physical
object in hand
- learn how to use a 3D CAD software to design and print in 3D.
- have a 3D printed object that you designed
- know how to get things printed in 3D without having to own a 3D printer.
- learn the process on how to get your designs 3D printed in other
materials such as full color, ceramic, metals etc.
About the teachers:

They have been teaching 3D Design and 3D Printing courses for over 4
years, including workshops at Stanford Splash, Maker Faire, Santa Cruz
GATE Conference, as well as private lessons. Michael is currently
teaching a 3D Design course at a local public school in the Bay Area.
