Description
Restoration Cider Co. is a small, veteran-owned business based in Madison. They make crisp, dry, refreshing cider using apples grown in the Driftless Area of Southwest Wisconsin. Springing from the founder’s passion for fly fishing Wisconsin’s pristine streams, Restoration Cider has committed 5% of its profits to stream restoration projects and will use its brand as a showcase for its (and your) experiences of Wisconsin's natural beauty and as platform for raising awareness of water quality and land use issues.
This auction item combines everything that Restoration Cider Co. stands for. It includes:
- One five-liter (1.3 gallon) keg of Restoration’s Starkweather hard cider. Starkweather is a completely dry New American-style cider made from a blend of six apple varieties sourced from Wisconsin orchards. The taste is very dry, crisp, just a bit tart, and lightly effervescent. 7% A.B.V.
- Two night stay in a meticulously restored vintage 1958 Shasta camper trailer set up for you in a serene location in the Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin.
- A full day of guided fly fishing on some of the Driftless’ most breathtakingly beautiful trout streams, including instruction on Western style and Japanese Tenkara methods and fly tying basics. Your guide will be Restoration Cider Co.’s co-founder and avid fly fisherman Paul Asper.
