This piece of a fisherman at the top of a falls trying to hook the illusive and wily trout, is carved from a scrap of red oak. Andy Rubin received a grant to get wood from a grove of red oak fallen in windstorm just north of Sauk City and the Wisconsin River somewhere's around 1999. It is carved with a dremel tool and painted in diluted printers ink. The nice hat gives the appearance of a more historic times at the falls. Andy Rubin was Master Printer at Tandem Press form 1988 through 2015. He is currently teaching Printmaking at the University of Indiana in Bloomington.
