Description

Bring a little bit of nature indoors with a beautiful picture from Jon Reddin Photography. Your choice of any picture from his website or the above picture of the Edmund Fitzgerald will be matted (10" x 16" picture matted 18" x 24") for you. It is "frame ready" and fits a standard size frame (frame not included).  Jon's photo makes a great gift.

It was 40 years ago that the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in Lake Superior, with all 29 hands lost.  In 1959, when Jon was 14 years old, his parents took him to Jones Island where he took this photo of the ship, which was in Milwaukee due to a steel strike.

This piece, along with other artwork offered in our auction, will be on display and available for purchase at our Auction Art Night on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at Monona State Bank on Atwood Avenue in Madison. You’ll be able to see the art up close and meet some of the artists. RSVP’s are requested.

Special Instructions

Photographer Jon Reddin spent 35 years as a prosecutor in the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office before retiring in October 2008. Since then he’s been able to spend more time developing his photo business.  Jon particularly enjoys nature and landscape photography, especially in Door County, Wisconsin.

Winning bidder may notify River Alliance by Tuesday, December 8th that they would like to pick this item up from the River Alliance office.  Otherwise, it will be shipped USPS priority mail and winning bidder will be charged $8 for shipping at auction close.  (This does not apply if you choose a different photo from Jon.  See below.)

NOTE: if you choose a photograph other than the Edmund Fitzgerald, Jon will need to order and mat it for you, which will take approximately 10 days from the date you choose the photo.  You will be charged $8 for shipping unless you choose to pick it up from a Milwaukee area location.
