Description

Luxuriate for two nights in a rustic, octagonal log cabin on the Deerskin River near Eagle River in Vilas County, built and owned by River Alliance board member Bob Martini.  There's good canoeing (no rapids) on a small wild trout stream rich with wildlife.  It's like camping, only with a roof, a fireplace, an outhouse, and a solar shower at your disposal (i.e. no electricity or running water). And it's remote: it's over a mile to the nearest blacktop road.

"In the last 35 years," says Bob, "we have seen every animal and bird native to northern Wisconsin on this land, including wolves and moose." Scheduling is flexible.
