 Craig Masten is a full-time artist living in Rhode Island, primarily painting in oils or watercolors, with occasional print-making, and never without a sketchbook. He loves painting outdoors "alla prima," and tries to carry this same freshness and spontaneity of technique into his studio work. 

Craig has studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts amd the DeCordova Museum in Massachusetts, and participated in many professional workshops. He is an award winning member of the Providence Art Club, the Rhode Island Water Color Society (Signature member) the Cape Cod, Wickford, and South County Art Associations, as well as the Artists Guild of the Newport Museum. 

He is an Artist of Sprinh Bull Gallery in Newport, where his work is regularly on exhibit. His work is also available in his Deacon Taylor House studio at the Providence Art Club. Masten teaches figure drawing at the Providence Art Club.
