School of Rock: Tony and Olivier Award winner Andrew Lloyd Webber debuts School of Rock, his 18th musical on the Great White Way. The musical follows Dewey Finn, a down-and-out, wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher to raise some extra money. He taps the talent of his fifth grade students and creates a rock group in order to win the Battle of the Bands. Based on the 2003 hit movie, starring Jack Black, Sir Webber has composed 14 original songs to create a score which also features all of the original songs from the movie.  School of Rock is scheduled to open on Sunday, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre.
