ALWAYS AND STILL “THE GREATEST STAR!”
In the early ’60s, no performer exploded onto the entertainment scene with the extraordinary acclaim of young Barbra Streisand. Nearly 50 years later, there is not a star who still shines as bright or with a more beloved and shimmering luster. From the archives and hot off the presses, the best of Barbra yesterday and today.
Funny Girl, 1968: The extremely rare souvenir program from the “roadshow” first run motion picture release of Funny Girl. Funny Girl premiered on September 18, 1968, at the Criterion Theatre at the corner of Broadway and W. 44th Street, then one of NYC’s finest first-run movie theatres. In impeccable condition, this 48-page souvenir book includes the story of Funny Girl’s transition from stage to movie musical, the behind-the-camera stories and interviews, on-set photos and production stills that have been rarely seen since.
Signed by Ms. Streisand, this is the ultimate memorabilia for anyone who loves the Oscar-winning film version of Funny Girl. Also included in this lot, at the suggestion of Ms Streisand, is a DVD of the restored film and CD of the soundtrack, both signed by Ms. Streisand.
