RITA SCHROEDER
Internationally acclaimed artist, Rita Schroeder is considered to be on of the leading “ART NAIF” artist in America. Her original detailed artworks can be found in museums and important collections around the world.
Her career as a self-taught Artist began when she was selected as a finalist in a Ladies Home Journal contest in 1974. This recognition brought her to the attention of local and international critics, galleries and the public. In 1982 she held a one woman exhibit in Beverly Hills and was also presented the “Jay Award” by the city of Kashiwa Japan.
Since then, she has had exhibits all over the world including California, Venice, Munich, Canada, Hawaii and NewYork. Her work has been selected for the cover of several magazines including, LA Home Magazine, Architectural Digest, Colonial Homes, Design West, Texas Magazine, Palos Verdes Review and Daily Hampshire Gazette. Beginning in 1984, she was commissioned to paint many delightful scenes of American cities, Universities and famous locations. So far she has created story like paintings for forty-five (45) cities in the U.S. and abroad.
Her work hangs in the Toyota of Japan Corporate offices, City of Hope, Marymount College, LA Club, Pepperdine University & Torrance Memorial Hospital to name a few.
Her success has drawn the attention of many Hollywood stars and politicians include former President Gerald Ford & Ronald Regan, Warren Beatty, Jon Voight, Placidio Domingo, Robert Young and Walter Matthau are amongst her clientele.
Two of her privately commissioned limited edition prints N.Y (1991) and Los Angeles (1990), have been recovered and are being offered for sale. These versatile, uniquely soulful, signed and numbered works are available in limited quantities.
