The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Tietjen Vineyard comes across as a bit compact and a bit restrained next to the 2010. It has more aromatic nuance and less overt sweetness compared to its younger sibling. Crushed flowers, tobacco, incense and spices linger on the long, attractive finish. The blend is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (12/2012)
