Russell Wright believed that "good design is for everyone.” Designing in layers from the table outward, he created tableware and furniture, architecture and landscaping, all according to his concept of easy, informal living. His simple, practical style was influential in persuading ordinary Americans to embrace Modernism in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Manitoga, a National Historic Landmark, is Wright’s modernist home, studio and reclaimed woodland-design landscape located on 75 acres in Garrison, NY. This special package includes a private tour of the artist-designed home and landscape, a Wright-designed Ewer from the gift shop and an exhibition catalogue from The Dorsky’s 2012 exhibition Russel Wright: The Nature of Design.
