A certified organic vineyard in Sonoma planted in 1937. Deep purple, full-bodied, with great freshness and precision, the old vines have produced gorgeously pure fruit, plenty of blackberry, black cherry and currant notes, and a zesty mouthfeel. There’s no sense of heaviness or weight to this rich, concentrated Zinfandel. The balance between acid, fruit and tannin is impressive. Drink it over the next 8-10 years. RP:94; V:95
