About Marco Gallotta 
Bioâ?¨â?¨â?¨Marco Gallotta is an Italian-born, New York City-based artist. Heâ?¨â?¨received his associate's degree in fashion illustration and aâ?¨â?¨bachelor’s degree in general illustration from the Fashion Instituteâ?¨â?¨of Technology. He grew up in Italy, before moving to New York City in 1998.â?¨â?¨His artistic craft consists mostly of paper-cutting techniques,â?¨â?¨drawing, painting, and printmaking.â?¨â?¨â?¨Today, Marco resides with his wife and daughter in New York City,â?¨â?¨where he finds inspiration in its urbanscape, distinct artisticâ?¨â?¨facets, and diverse population. He currently practices his craft inâ?¨â?¨an intimate studio workshop in West Harlem. His vast expertise inâ?¨â?¨mixed media techniques, including drawing, painting, and printmaking,â?¨â?¨add to his work a unique combination of artisan craftsmanship andâ?¨â?¨graphic sensibility. Watercolors, inks, and graphite are applied toâ?¨â?¨photographs that are then cut out. Layers of cut-out photographs,â?¨â?¨paper and other materials are strategically overlapped to createâ?¨â?¨ingenious compositions.â?¨â?¨â?¨His clients include Nike, Vogue, the United Nations, Radio City Music Hall,â?¨â?¨Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone, actor Will Smith, and NBA playerâ?¨â?¨Gigi Datome.â?¨â?¨â?¨
