The name of their store was derived from one owner’s dog’s name and another’s cat’s name, both rescued animals. From the water bowl on the steps to the dog treats at the counter, they maintain an affinity for their customers' animals. “Authentically preppy" may be one characterization for this store, but “pet friendly” suits them fine, as well.
