Description

Social Thinking Friendship Groups give children opportunities to work as teams to problem solve open-ended challenges such as bridge building, package design to protect an egg, or writing and performing original skits about characters who are clueless about social skills.

Simultaneously, children build social confidence through role-play, discussion, and teachable moments, as they explore the nuance of social communication.

The social skills they experience include:

Entering a new group

Making and Keeping friends

Conversation strategies

Reading body language

Communicating through body language

Leading without Bossing

Sharing without Bragging

Listening so others can talk

Talking so others will listen
