These sterling silver stud earrings are of crushed amethyst in resin and designed and handmade by jewelry designer and Green Cottage co-owner David Urso. Mr. Urso's work is characterized by sensual, organic shapes and a painterly use of hand-tinted resin. His signature collection uses natural herbs and spices, and includes "faux stone jewelry" with different wood chips. The Green Cottage is a florist, jeweler and gift shop in High Falls with a constantly changing and vibrant selection of merchandise, a collaboration of Mr. Urso and floral designer and co-owner Dennis Nutley that opened in 1997.
