Description

Funny Cide, who was foaled in Saratoga Springs, NY, was the first New York-bred to win the Kentucky Derby, which he did in 2003. Funny Cide was also the first gelding to win the Derby since Clyde Van Dusen in 1929. Funny Cide then went on to win the Preakness Stakes before finishing third in the Belmont Stakes in his bid for the Triple Crown. He continued to win graded stakes races until he was retired, and then went to work for trainer Barclay Tagg as the stable pony, proving that racehorses can still find work once they retire. He now resides at Kentucky Horse Park. This cartoon print of the New York-bred Horse of the Decade is signed by  Pierre Camille Lucien Hilaire Jean Bellocq, also known as "PEB," the internationally famous equine artist who worked for years for The Morning Telepgrah and Daily Racing Form. This print measures 13 x 18"
