“Lieder & Geschichten”, the premier German Music and Language program in the Tri-State Area, offers different formats of classes for children between 4 months and 9 years.

“L&G” was developed by Swiss born Barbara Rellstab, an award-winning former singer/dancer/actor and founder of Rella’s Spielhaus, to offer first rate and fun classes for the children of the German Language Community in New York.

“L&G” currently offers 6 weekly classes in Manhattan. The program is designed to expose children to the German language using picture books, songs, acrobatics, dancing, instruments, finger plays and “Kniereiter” for all the children and added fun reading and writing projects for the older ones. “Lieder & Geschichten” encourages both child and parent to (re)-enter the playful world of music, movement and the German(ic) language and culture. It is a wonderful platform for the Bi- and Tri Lingual New York families to incorporate the German Language and Culture into their lives. It hopes to serve as inspiration to be continued at home and already has created dozens of friendships that will last a life time.

The bidding winner wins 6 classes for the 3 -5.11 and 6-8.11 year old children. The remaining 6 classes for the semester can be purchased at $250.
