Description
Take a ride through history! Social Studies teacher, Sean Grady and English teacher, Jaime Marcus will take you on an interpretive ride on one of America’s narrowest State Parks.
Participants will take a bike tour of the The Old Croton Aqueduct (OCA) and learn about the rich history of New York State and Westchester County.
The OCA – with its breathtaking, panoramic views of the Hudson River—has many historical and literary points of interest.
Sites include: The Octagon House, Nevis, Villa Lewaro, Lyndhurst, Washington Irving’s Sunnyside, The Keeper House, Draper Park, Ever Rest, The Palisades, and Untermeyer Park.
Open to two families; maximum ten participants.
All students/children must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian.
Participants must have a working bicycle and helmet.
Tour will take place on a Saturday of your choice between April 24th and May 22nd, 2016
Tour meets at Mercy College at 10:30 AM. Tour concludes approximately at 2 PM.
