Greg Tosto came to America from Calabria, Italy on September 5, 1965. Greg grew up in the Belmont section of the Bronx (little Italy). He was always fascinated with food, especially fresh mozzarella. Greg had his first gourmet shop at age 24 in New York City. Pasta Villaggio specialized in making fresh pasta and hand made fresh mozzarella products. Greg got married to Rose in June 1987 and expanded to other stores. Greg and Rose started the mozzarella department at Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers. They are now building Mozzarella 4 u at HMART in Hardsdale.
